About the role:
This Project Management opportunity is within the Coronary Therapies division working with the dynamic and high growth Coronary Imaging business. This role is looking for a Project Manager experienced in New Product Development to be the Program Lead for an active PDP. This person will be responsible for making key decisions to ensure project deliverables are met or exceeded.
Responsibilities Include:
- Key decision maker across resourcing, budgeting, technical, and design, leveraging input from subject matter experts, team members, and functional management.
- Gather input from stakeholders, build and execute against budget and schedules, communicate on project status to leadership and project teams.
- Lead cross-functional team(s) to evaluate, design, build, and implement solutions to support the project’s outcomes.
- Develop and implement overall project plan, including cost, schedule, risk, performance and monitor progress against business key objectives and goals.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, across regions, and business units to develop individual project strategies and secure necessary resources to deliver project results.
- Identify, communicate, and manage technical risk and knowledge gaps.
- Determine both technical and business trade-off decisions, track, and report on status, and resolve roadblocks to support project outcomes.
- Build team ownership and commitment to project plan; mentor and/or coach other functional and project managers
- Communicate key decisions and status to leadership.
- Liaison between the team and governing bodies – Franchise Leadership Team (FLT), Project Investment Board (PIB), Cardiology Investment Board (CIB)
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Engineering or Project Management.
- 7+ years medical device project leadership experience.
- Understanding of PLCP & PDP systems and processes.
- Action oriented strategic thinker, with a natural ability to collaborate with a wide array of stakeholders across the globe.
- Communicates impactfully and concisely at a senior management level and across business units.
- Must be willing and able to travel internationally ~10% of the time.
- Work under minimal supervision.
Preferred qualifications and competencies:
- PMP certification.
- Previous New Product Development experience and/or knowledge of the Product Development Process (PDP)
- Knowledge of BSC Quality systems and methods.
- Strong organization, execution, and communication skills.
- Comfortable in front of all levels of the organization as well as external customers.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships within project teams.
- Problem-solving technical expertise.
