The Site Controller is a finance head and manages financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities while strategically business partner with site leadership team including operation, supply chain, and quality functions to achieve short- and longer-term objectives.

Job Summary:

  • The position partners with Manufacturing, QA/RA, and Materials Management through budget decisions, financial training, financial recommendations, and general business guidance.
  • Interacts with the Site Operations team through presentations of financial plans/analyses/strategies and is responsible for representing finance in these plant discussions.
  • In conjunction with the Site Operations team, sets the appropriate financial direction ensuring the proper reflection of financial results and forecasts.
  • Facilitates proper reporting, analysis, and monitoring of actual results across manufacturing organizations.
  • Coordinate, consolidate and generally manage the development of plans for the site including standards, LBE’s (forecast) and capital budgets.
  • Prepares annual cost standards for existing and new products.
  • Working in conjunction with Site and Operations management, develop and implement financial and operational measurement tools focusing on productivity and customer service improvements.
  • Assures compliance with all relevant GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley regulations, as well as Corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
  • Provide necessary support for local/corporate tax filings and internal/external audit activities.
  • Develops and mentors direct reports and provides financial acumen to site functions.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Establishing controls across sites in compliance with Corporate Finance Policies and GAAP accounting
  • Financial Planning and Analysis – Monthly/Quarterly P&L forecast
  • Financial reporting - Monthly close for P&L and balance sheet and KPIs
  • Drive short- and long-term continuous improvement Initiatives which drive year over year gross margin improvements.
  • Product Standard Costing
  • Production/Inventory Control Data
  • Capital/RCE Investment Analysis and Control
  • Fixed Asset Control
  • SOX and audit support
  • Develop and nurture talent.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree; BA / BS in Accounting or Finance.
  • 8 or more years of diverse financial experience including manufacturing accounting, operations support, financial planning and analysis, general accounting, internal control/audit, project accounting support, and ad hoc analysis.
  • Minimum 5 years of managerial position or role in Finance; demonstrated operation finance experience including exposure to manufacturing systems (SAP) and product costing is required.
  • Strong organization, interpersonal, communication, and management skills (persuasiveness and negotiation) are key.
  • A highly organized individual capable of interfacing with individuals in a variety of senior management positions/levels.
  • Must have the ability to balance the needs of the organization when conflicting goals may exist.
  • Demonstrate the ability to evaluate the tasks at hand and prioritize appropriately, giving clear directions to those who work for you.
  • Forward thinking for effective strategic business planning a must.
  • Self- motivated carrying a growth mindset.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or MBA is strongly encouraged.
